Changing Your Language Settings in Windows 8

To change the language in Windows 8, you need to install the desired language pack first. Follow these steps:

  1. Move your mouse to the bottom right corner and select Settings.
  2. Click on Control Panel.
  3. Go to Clock, Language, and Region and select Add a language.
  4. Click on Add a language again.
  5. Select the language you want and click Open.
  6. Note: If the language has multiple variants, select the one you prefer and click Open.
  7. Next to the language, click Options.
  8. Click Download language pack.
  9. The language pack will begin to download and install.
  10. Once installed, repeat step six and click Options.
  11. Click Make this the primary language, then log out and back in to apply the changes.
